I grew up taking piano lessons, and we always had a piano in the home. That was important to my mom. When I was young we moved across the country and my parents didn’t take much furniture with them. I remember my mom bought a piano before anything else for our new house.
Even though I can’t play well at all, just touching its keys is a stress reliever on a hectic day. Christmas carols are probably my favorite melodies to play (yes, I can play Jingle Bells!). And honestly, even just to look at, I think a piano is an incredibly beautiful addition to any home.
Today I’m daydreaming about the upright piano, and hoping one will one day find residence in my home. I wanted to share this object of my affection with you with some of my favorite inspiration images from the web.
More inspiration on my Pinterest board.
I check on Craigslist all the time for a piano because I can almost always find them for free, like this beauty (they usually need some work though and have to be picked up). Once I find “the one,” you can be sure I will be posting about it. What object has a special meaning to you when you think of “home”?
