What we bought Jack for Christmas

They say that once you reach 30 it’s time to graduate from IKEA. I’m 31 and I’m trying to move on. I thought it would be easy. I know I should buy more adult investment pieces. I know I don’t have the time to assemble furniture like I used to. I know there are too many LACK side tables in the world. But I’m not ready.

I like the meatballs. And the big blue plastic bag.

I will always love IKEA, and now that I have a kid I love it even more. Our family went a couple of weeks ago to the store in Charlotte. I wanted to look at a cabinet for a possible linen closet solution but mostly just wanted to get out of the house and let Jack run around. It was a fun day and we ended up buying Jack all his Christmas gifts.

Since he can’t read my blog yet, here’s what we got him, everything for under $40:

And here are some of my other favorite items for kids. Classic, bright, and simple. Love it!

VANDRING IGELKOTT Crib duvet cover and pillowcase: $14.99

We also bought this high chair after Jack used it in the cafeteria. I have the Stokke high chair just like every good design blogger should (it was a gift), but it doesn’t have the tray (it’s an extra $50 for the tray and $70 for the accessory to attach the tray) and Jack doesn’t like the straps, so for $60 we got the BLÅMES Highchair in black and so far it’s working out well.

We were sort of bummed that Jack was 6″ too short to play at IKEA’s Smäland, but he still had lots of fun.
